What Does Lannywitch Sell?
In the About Us section, they claim that the site “sells books to people all over the world”.
However, they also have a section listed as “All Products” which encompasses everything from air purifiers to drones to shoes and boats. This creates confusion about the type of webshop Lannywitch.com is in as they sell a lot more items than just books.
I also noticed that most of the products in the different categories have the same price across the board. For instance, all Air Conditioners are quoted at $58.68 irrespective of the model.
Some of the prices quoted are ridiculously low which does not help boost the confidence of users. When a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
How Old is Lannywitch.com?
Scammers have a way of exaggerating their site’s registration date to appear older and more credible, as an older site is much more likely to be trusted. According to information in the “About Us” section, Lannywitch.com was supposedly established in 2020.
However, when I checked on ScamAdviser and Whois.com, the domain was registered in February 2022. Therefore, it seems that the website owners are lying about the site’s age.
Where is Lannywitch Located?
According to the site, they claim to be based at “71 NE 27th Ave, Pompano Beach, FL 33062”. However, when I searched the same Google Maps, I was stunned to see the listed location being a law firm.
The latter company has its name engraved on the building which shows that Lannywitch is not located at this address. Listing random places in the US is the go-to move by scammers to trick unsuspecting clients into believing that they are based in the US, even though the site is probably operated from China.
Lannywitch.com Customer Reviews
Customer reviews help shed light on a company and I found a few about Lannywitch.com. On ScamAdviser, I found two negative reviews where customers lamented about not receiving any product even after paying.
Another user has posted a warning about the ridiculously low prices which are too good to be true.
Contradictory Contact Information
I noticed that at the bottom of the website, they list their email as vip@outlet-service.com. However, this email is clearly from a different website. This is common with scam sites and it's meant to make it harder for customers to reach out.
Interestingly, on the “Refunds: page, they have listed info@lannywitch.com as their email address. This begs the question, why the need for two separate emails? It is likely done to create confusion and deter customers from reaching out.
Again, I also noticed that the number listed here, +1 (567) 216-7278, has the state code of Ohio even though the address listed was in Florida. This is meant to cause further confusion and make it harder to track the company or reach out.
Bottom Line
Overall, there is a high likelihood that Lannywitch.com is a scam. There are a lot of red flags that are too hard to ignore. The website claims to sell books yet there are many other products being sold. They claim to be in Florida, yet the location listed belongs to a law firm. They list multiple email IDs, including one of a different domain.
The phone number listed has an Ohio code rather than Florida where they are allegedly based. The customer reviews I found were negative while the site has exaggerated its domain age to appear more trustworthy.
Caution is needed when shopping at Lannywitch.com as they are likely a scam. You are better off shopping at other websites.
